Exploring The Treatments For Receding Hair Line

There are many products on the market today that claim to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth and offer hair loss treatments for receding hair line. Many of them do actually work. What they often fail to tell you is where they work. Some products such as Rogaine, or others that contain minoxidyl only effect the hair on the back of the head. That does very little for those who simply have a receding hair line. This is, however, hope out there. Several treatments do exist that have been proven to stop hair lines from receding.

Many people choose to find hair loss treatments for receding hair line with finasteride. This drug fights DHT, the male testosterone hormone that often causes hair loss. This drug can be found in Proscar and Propecia as well as in its generic form. Others get better results with a topical DHT inhibitor. These creams are applied directly to the scalp. They have, on average, an effective rate the same as finasteride and many report having fewer side effects with the creams.

Yet another common treatment is through the use of a nizoral shampoos and conditioners. These are to be used in place of your regular shampoo and conditioner and also contain a DHT inhibitor. Many people say that they get the best results from using a combination of all three of these treatments. Using the finasteride drug, the topical cream with DHT inhibator, and the shampoos and conditioners usually can be combined with no bothersome side effects. It is important, as always, that if side effects do occur frequently and are bothersome, hat you discontinue use of all of these products until you have consulted a physician.

It is not common for these treatments to produce hair growth, but it is not unheard of. The finasteride drug, topical DHT inhibitors, and shampoos and conditioners are best suited as preventive measures. At the first sight of, or before, of a receding hairline using these treatments alone or together usually can prevent or stop hair loss in most people. Hair loss treatments for receding hair line can be a timely process, but if it is caught early enough, it can be slowed, stopped, and even reversed.
